9-5-2-1-0 for Health

Manassas City Public Schools and eighteen other school divisions, health care systems and organizations work together to engage the entire Northern Virginia community in collaborative, family-focused efforts to promote better health for children of all ages.  The Northern Virginia Healthy Kids Coalition is a group of Northern Virginia residents who believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of children.  The Tipping the Scales for Better Health Campaign is a community-wide strategy for improving child health through healthy lifestyle promotion.  The goal is to change child health behaviors by creating supportive environments where children live, learn, and play using the  9- 5 - 2 - 1 - 0 for Health method.   For more information l og on to  www.tippingthescales.net where you will find resources, tools, and great ideas to assist you in helping Northern Virginia children and youth become healthier.
