Dear Round Families,

It is hard to believe we are in the second 9 weeks of school! There are so many wonderful things to celebrate from the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. I want to thank all of our families that attended the Back to School Night, our PTO Harvest Hoedown and our PTO meetings. The outpouring of support from the community truly makes Round a great place to be!
Teachers are hard at work creating engaging and appropriately challenging lessons for students. Active learning is visible throughout the building in all of our subject areas. The second 9 weeks brings an instructional focus of increased rigor and higher order thinking skills. We will also enjoy our Veteran’s Day assembly, fall break and winter break…all in the span of the second 9 weeks of school. It’s an exciting, motivating and chilly time of year!
We have seen many great successes in our first 9 weeks of school, and I am confident that we will continue on this path of achievement. I have greatly enjoyed my time this year in getting to know your families. As always, do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns or questions as we move through the year. I hope you have a happy and safe holiday season!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kara J. Mills
