Welcome to sixth grade !  Working as a team - parents, students and teachers - we can help every student reach his or her potential!  Our team's expectations have been discussed with your child along with our new Mayfield Intermediate School-Wide Rules and the Manassas City Public Schools' Code of Conduct (located in the Mayfield Student Agenda).  Please go over each of these with your child at home.  Both you and your child will be asked to sign and return your acknowledgement of our new Mayfield School-Wide Rules.  We will also continue to review each of these throughout the year.

Mayfield Agenda Book:

It is mandatory that all students use the Mayfield Agenda.  It is the responsibility of the student to write his/her assignments in the agenda and complete the work.  Throughout the day, we note all assignments in this book.  Assignments are also written on the whiteboard in class.  Parents are asked to review the agenda each night so that you are aware of what your child is doing.

Students must have their agenda books with them at all times!

· Follow the Mayfield School-wide Rules and the Manassas City Student Code of Conduct at all times

· Give your best effort in all that you do

· Adjust your voice level to suit the activity

· Raise your hand, and wait to be called upon

· Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
