About Me....

I am Mrs. Walton and I received my Bachelor of Business of Administration from Tarleton State University in Texas and my Master of Business Administration from Webster University in Missouri (I actually attended the satellite campus at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas). I am also pursuing a Master of Education from Regent University in Virginia and hope to finish this year.

I am a career switcher and this is my second year teaching. I am a lifelong learner and my journey into education began with the desire to help the children of our future. I'm really enjoying teaching technology skills to students at Mayfield Intermediate School. Prior to teaching, I served in the Army for 20 years in all areas of Financial Management.

I have been married since 1990 to the love of my life, Mike, and have two children: Donovan (16 years old) and Heather (10 years old). I also have a dog (Mosby) and a cat (Butter). I am originally from Malta, Illinois and now live in Middletown, Virginia near my husband's hometown of Front Royal, Virginia.

I love to read, listen to music, run, and travel. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to serve my country and live/visit so many interesting places.  I feel honored to be a teacher and I look forward to helping students learn about technology.
