Welcome to the Peer Mentoring

"Students Helping Students"

This course, is designed for students who are interested in teaching, counseling, and/or working with children. Through this course, the peer mentors acquire skills in leadership, communication, and responsibility by traveling to an assigned local elementary or intermediate school (Pre-K through 6th grade) where they work with students one on one or in small groups.

We serve as "big brothers" and "big sisters" to children in our school community while we lead by example as strong role models. Our program focuses on the academic, social, and emotional deficiencies of those students in need.

Our vision is to enhance student achievement 'day by day' because we believe by making a difference in others, we will make a difference in ourselves. Through this program, we establish relationships that will help us grow and develop into better people.

We will give our best, so each child has the opportunity to be their best!
