A Little About Me:

I am from Western New York and come from a very large family.  I am the third oldest of 29 grandchildren and have two sisters and two brothers.  I graduated  from SUNY Geneseo with a BS in Elementary Education .  My concentration was in environmental science and geography.  I have a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in literacy from George Mason University, which includes a Reading Specialist endorsement K-12. I have an endorsement from UVA in Gifted & Talented Education, K-12.  I have continued my education in the field of science through various summer courses and programs.  Learning is lifelong! 

I moved to Northern Virginia in 2001.  I have a daughter who served four years in the US Navy as a corpsman/pharmacy technician.  She is currently continuing her education in the medical field.  I have a son who granduated from Osbourn in 2005.  He graduated from UTI in Houston, and works at Chantilly Autobady as an autobody technician.

My hobbies include sewing, knitting, photography, gardening, and travel.  I went to Alaska this summer, which was my 50th state to visit.
